So basically the IRS has trapped you in a matrix-hell sorta thing for tax evasion but they haven’t finished all the security stuff so you are still able to escape by winning the game And it works like you are looped around in an endless loop of suffering and every time you die in the matrix they subject you to neural shock to seem like you are being burnt alive for your sins and they are using your brain juices to get processing power for their massive surveillance system, but they can’t just put you in a coma or burn you alive forever becuase the brain juices need to exercise to be at full capacity And that is why you are forced to be in an endless loop, they need action from your brain neurons for maximum usefulness from you And it also serves as a punishment for the unfaithful, those who refuse the supreme authority of THE ONE, the most almighty, and as a way to brainwash the witnesses of the Guanxi valley disaster, which created THE ONE and horrifying anomalies on both sides of realness and unrealness, 200% and 1% respectively, contradicting THE ONE’s claims of divinity, and THE ONE serving as not as the messiah as he claims to be, but as the antichrist, who has united the world under the One world government, and will be punished through the true messiah acting through the player to open the cloud room, clearing a passage for the army of the true messiah to liberate the Earth 

The aftereffects of the Guanxi Valley disaster-Bob and Joe were the most affected, with Bob becoming 200% real, and becoming detained in the same facility you are in, you must free Bob to open the cloud room, due to his unique powers, and Joe became 1% real, becoming so unreal that he could only manifest as a video game npc, who helps you to escape the matrix. Joe has become so disillusioned with humanity, ethics and reality, that he doesn’t care what he has to do to gain revenge on THE ONE, who caused the Guanxi valley disaster using his agents, and therefore doesn’t care if what he does is moral or not.

Joe the cat lore:

at the age of seven he was inducted as a priest into a secret society and participated in child sacrifices along with assisting the regime of regent Larry I. He later fled the Democratic people’s freedom front due to the toppling of Larry and joined the United international liberation movement for Democracy where he raised his own militia of mostly children. He then saw a vision of Jesus and abandoned his unit, turning to street preaching, for which he was persecuted and driven into the Pacific Ocean, where he was evacuated to the bunker and later died of old age at the age of 96.

After Armageddon:

At first, things went well, until God took a quick nap and Humanity quickly degenerated into hyperindustrialisation, cultural decay and false gods, such as the golden calf and Joe the Cat(unrelated to Joe). This eventually lead to things becoming so bad that when god woke up, he found the covenant broken, and therefore he unleashed 7 plagues onto humanity, à plague which lead to 99% of the population to become infertile, extreme heat, global flooding, smoke blotting out the sun, radiation, and the drying of  a lot of the oceans. God chose a number of faithful and good-willed humans to rescue from the plagues, and stored them in a massive bunker, administered by the computer, an ultra powerful computer- AI which handled the survival and expansion of the bunker. Another side effect of the plagues was the collapse of reality, and the area around the bunker was only sustained by the ancient construct, which protected the bunker from the reality and the worst of the flesh, which was a constant threat in the bunker. Eventually God created a new Reality, and Humanity started retaking the surface, where they had to fight the coalition, an ultra corporatist slave society, consisting of the elite of the pre-collapse world. They would eventually succeed and God(silly cat) would give everyone a cheese cracker as a reward.
